do people dream of electric blankets?

winter sounds so much more manageable with the new electric blanket i just bought. i laid it out excitedly on my bed, turned it up to "high" and jumped into bed half an hour later. ooh!! it was heaven and simply divine to just roll around in my bed. no more tension neckaches from frozen stiff sleeping postures. say goodbye to drying heaters. the electric blanket is my newest best friend. :)

christmas specials

christmas is round the corner again! i've been busy planning and making gifts for people. Over this weekend i completed 4 bags, using the paper pattern courtesy of Burdastyle.com

i also found a finger knitting video on the internet that teaches you how to knit a scarf needle-free! so i went out today and bought myself a packet of yarn to get started. i can't find the url on my browser's history anymore, but if you want to try, just google finger knitting and there are so many sites that will show you how. it's a really fun no-brainer activity to keep your fingers busy, other than twiddling thumbs. 

and then i also found a shop on ruijin road that sells some cheap fabric with awesome prints. i bought a flannel one with the Colts prints to make some flannel PJs for Justin (eventually, when i figure out how) and bought some candy print cotton fabric to maybe make bags/pillow cases or whatever for myself. it's nice to collect fabric, especially when they're so cheap.

haha no, i did not make a shirt, tho i'd probably know how to do it now. it was actually a bag-in-the-making...
